What have we been up to? It might seem quiet here at Whetstone CiderWorks, website like this but after an exciting pressing season with our new-to-us, diagnosis vintage cider press and bins full of the highest quality ciders apples around (Kingston Black, medicine Norman’s Bitter, Yarlington Mill, Golden Russett, Hewe’s Virginia Crab, and Dabinett to name a few), we’ve had several hundred gallons of cider fermenting and maturing in the ciderie. In addition to building a shed for the cider press, we’re building a portable, refrigerated room to house our carbonation tank and bottle our sparkling ciders. We’re excited about our new infrastructure, but thrilled about our new ciders! They’ll make their debut at the Brattleboro Area Farmers’ Market in mid- to late July. We’ll keep you posted!
